Rusty Bell - Wood Carver

When Peggy McTeague, owner of WildChild Art Gallery came to me last year and said "Hey, have you ever made a bench?", I thought, "What a great idea!". And I got to work.

Benchzilla 1Out of that idea arose "Benchvilla 1", closely followed by "Benchzilla 2". Out of those benches was born "The WildChild Bench", and a way that everyone can have a chance to own her.

During the 2007-2008 season, every time a visitor came to visit WildChild Gallery and took a seat on "The WildChild Bench", they could fill out a tag and drop it into the bottle. On the last Art Night in April, one name was drawn, and to the winnerWildChild Bench went the WildChild Bench. This year's winner was North Fort Myers resident, Charlene Drabek.

Thanks to all who participated!         - Rusty Bell
