I moved to Cape Coral from Connecticut in 2012. I retired from my job as a self-employed clay artist. I made my living by working out of my home and was represented in galleries and did juried shows from Virginia to Vermont. I was a member of a 100 member co-op and school where we had clay, weaving, metal artists and work areas. I was also a member of three other selling and community co-ops. I owned my business for 20 years. I loved making works in clay but decided to give up the business with our move.
I love living in Florida but really missed creating and communication with the arts and artists. Since moving to Florida I have incorporated other media into my clay creations. They are pine needles, inflorescence, reed and wire into wall hangings. I love creating one of a kind pieces, and each one generates ideas for the next piece. I am very inspired by nature and love found materials. I also have been making paper flowers. I started this with my daughter's wedding. I made the centerpieces, boutonnieres, corsages and bouquets for the bridesmaids, parents, grandparents, bride and groom. I would consider any inquiries regarding a custom flower order.
