I am a self-taught portrait artist. My medium is acrylic on canvas. I have been painting for over 30 years. Art is important to me because it just comes naturally. I select subjects to paint by thinking about what others will like.
I grew up in Jamaica and developed my artistic skill there. I became the resident artist at a well-known resort in Negril and I painted there for over 20 years. I have 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren that live in Jamaica today.
I met my wife at the resort I worked at. We always talk about how the timing of our meeting was so perfect. That next day her and her family were leaving back to Minneapolis Minnesota. I was standing in their hotel room door talking to her parents. I told her dad that I was going to marry his daughter, and he said,” Go tell her don’t tell me.”
I moved in with my wife in June of 2015, we were married in August of 2016 and we moved from Minneapolis’ cold winter to sunny Fort Myers in October of 2018.
I am a carpenter and wood sculptor, as well as an artist. I am a lover of nature and I recycle responsibly. My favorite color is brown. I love to cook. I love to eat chicken, shrimp, cashews and homemade smoothies.
