Knitting is a hand-craft that has been around for thousands of years, as proven by the textiles found in ancient graves in most countries around the world.  Knitting is a fun, economical hobby that is both relaxing and portable. I’ve been knitting since childhood and would like to share this skill with you.

This 4-hr class will teach you how to cast stitches onto a knitting needle, how to do the knit stitch, and how to “bind off” the stitches.  In the course of the class you will create a “mug rug” and learn how to create a diagonally knit dishcloth that can also be transformed into a shawl or baby blanket.

Class costs include yarn, a pair of knitting needles suitable for beginners,

and written instructions.

Please contact Peggy at the Gallery (239-283-6006) to schedule your class! Also check the classes Calendar on the
Classes - Workshop Page for any changes or updates!
