Lisa is an artist that creates realistic flowers from seashells and works with other various mixed mediums. Lisa has always had a love of art as well as the water. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and from the time she was a teenager she spent her weekends on the Sassafras River in Maryland boating and skiing. She married her high school sweetheart and had two beautiful daughters who love the water as well. She put her art on hold while she raised her family in Lancaster County and worked in finance. In 2010 she moved to Florida with her husband Steve. Here she was able to focus on her art. She has been an active member of the Marco Island Shell Club since 2012. Lisa has won the Mary J Claramelle Trophy for Best Single Flower in 2014 and multiple ribbons over the last 6 years at the Marco Island Shell Show and the Sanibel Island Shell Show. She is an avid sheller and finds many of the shells utilized to create her beautiful shell flowers. With her shell art she has found her calling combining her love of the sea with her one of a kind art. She teaches classes on creating Shell flowers and smashed glass art.
